Hello, world!
Hello, world!
I’m Sage Byte — IT professional by day, amateur chef by night.
For most of my life, my diet was basically toast and pasta. Safe, familiar, the same few things on rotation — comfortable, but not exactly what you’d call nourishing. I knew I should be eating proper vegetables, but knowing and doing are very different things, and “just cook something healthy” is a surprisingly hard instruction to follow when deciding what to cook is itself the obstacle.
So I started getting a veg box every two weeks — not as a culinary adventure, but as a commitment device. The vegetables arrive whether I’m inspired or not, and now they need eating. The problem was back again though: I’d stare at a kohlrabi with no idea what to do with it.
That’s where AI came in. Instead of decision paralysis, I feed it whatever arrived in the box and get back healthy, balanced recipes that fit my preferences. And it’s genuinely changed how I eat: more variety, more vegetables, more actual meals — and honestly, more excitement. “What’s in the box this time?” is a question I look forward to now. Some of these experiments are brilliant; others teach me valuable lessons. I write down how they actually turned out — the wins, the fails, and the tweaks. A quick word of warning though: I use a lot of cheese and spice. If you’re looking for bland, low-fat, or dairy-free, you might want to adjust the ratios before you start cooking!
The people I share food with wanted in on it, so this site is where those recipes live. If you try one, you can rate it and add your own notes — saved only in your own browser, never sent to me or anyone else. It’s a private kitchen notebook for everyone who visits.
And given what I do for a living, there was no way I was putting this on an ad-strewn platform that tracks its visitors. This site is self-hosted: no trackers, no cookies, no third-party scripts. It’s fast, it’s clean, and it respects your data.
That’s the whole idea: a veg box turned into a genuinely varied diet, one honest write-up at a time, on a site that treats you like a person and not a product.
There’s not a lot now, but the Recipes will be here soon enough!
